Americans for Lower Drug Prices is a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on the root cause of unaffordable medications: unchecked prices set by manufacturers. We amplify patient voices, advocate for policies that hold manufacturers accountable, and help ensure access for vulnerable and rural Americans.
OUR MISSION
By informing people about the root causes of high drug prices and reforms to help, Americans for Lower Drug Prices seeks to lower drug costs and ensure access. We help Americans – particularly rural residents, seniors, and low-income families – live healthier lives, and protect our communities.
OUR LEADERSHIP

Our Story
ALDP began with a simple, human moment—watching a friend forced to decline life-saving medicine at a pharmacy window because of its cost. That moment revealed a system built to profit, not protect—and inspired action.
HOW WE WORK
As a 501c4 nonprofit, Americans for Lower Drug Prices advocates for patients – not pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers, or other companies or groups with a financial stake in today’s drug pricing system.
We work with state partners, including experienced advocates who engage lawmakers, and we hold those partnerships to clear independence and conflict-of-interest standards. That discipline helps ensure our work remains credible, transparent, and focused on what matters most: lowering drug prices and ensuring patients have access and a seat at the table.
Tell elected officials it’s time to hold Big Pharma accountable for high drug prices.
